Female Athletes

Ladies are invited to come along to the club to learn about shooting sports and if interested there will be an opportunity to fire a .177 air pistol in the clubs indoor Air Range. There is plenty of variety with specific matches for female members as they progress. In addition to 10m Air females can shoot a .22 calibre pistol and take part in Junior and Women’s Sport Pistol and 25m Standard Pistol matches.

Initially though visitors are allowed to shoot on three occasions. After which they can apply to join the club and undertake a 6 months probationary period with training by the club coaches. During this time there is a small cost to hire a pistol and to pay for some ammunition.

At the end of 6 months a member can apply for a Cat H pistol license and purchase their first pistol. The only ongoing cost will be for ammunition and the annual club fees. Targets and patches are provided. Training and coaching is free.

If Pistol Shooting were something you would like to find our more about just register to attend one of the clubs regular ‘Women & Girls Only – introduction to Pistol Shooting’ meetings.
