Join us for an introduction to the challenging and rewarding sport of Target Pistol Shooting.
Unlike casual shooting experiences, target pistol shooting is a precision sport focused on accuracy, consistency and continual improvement. This session is designed for those interested in developing their skills and becoming part of the sport.
The event starts at 10am and runs for 2–3 hours, including morning tea, pistol hire and ammunition. You’ll receive an introduction to the sport, a tour of our facilities, and hands-on experience in our Air Pistol range – ideal for beginners.
If you enjoy the session and think that pistol shooting might be for you, our members will guide you through the next steps to continue training and join our club.

- Overview of target shooting sports in Australia
- Safety protocols on the ranges
- Laws governing the sport
- Club membership and ongoing training
- Fire 20 shots under supervision on the Air Pistol range
Cost $20.00 – Pay on the day.
Pre-Registration Essential
Photo ID (Drivers Licence/Passport) required on the day
Important Note: Before taking part, all visitors must complete a Queensland Police Form 33 declaring they are a “fit and proper person” to handle firearms. This means you must be free from any recent serious criminal convictions, domestic violence orders, or mental health-related restrictions that would stop you from lawfully using a firearm. Participants under 18 years of age are welcome but must have their Form 33 signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Mandatory Dress Requirements: For safety on the range closed in shoes must be worn (crocs, thongs or sandals are not acceptable). No camo clothing.
